Brendan McCourt is an internationally published photographer and award-winning cinematographer based in San Diego, California.
Professional Background
Over a decade of creative marketing experience combined with 20 years behind a camera enable Brendan to capture photos and craft videos that tell his client’s unique stories while engaging and mobilizing their audiences. He has produced live broadcasts, social content, promos and infomercials, on-location interview packages and in-studio talk shows for clients including FOX Sports San Diego and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, information marketers and entrepreneurs including Frank Kern, Jordan Belfort and San Diego Startup Week; along with corporate training and promos for clients including LPL Financial, Vistage International, Cloud Academy, and Sempra Energy.
Documentary
Crossing the Mexican border over a span of three years, Brendan shot dozens of interviews to help craft a documentary which was licensed to ESPN after winning various awards in the Latino and Sports international film festival circuits; called “Club Frontera” / “Xolos: Tijuana’s Team.”
Studio Design & Construction
Cultivating his interest in set design and art direction, he designed and built a large video production studio here in San Diego including a cyclorama wall, live event stage, cable news-style set, and two daytime talk show sets. The project also included lighting design and all purchasing.
Multimedia Designer
Prior to moving to San Diego, Brendan led a multimedia team as the New Media Manager for Search for Common Ground, an international NGO focussed on television and radio programming in conflict zones around the world. SFCG was nominated for a 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.
